CIWM (WAMITAB) Levels 1-3 Non Statutory Qualifications
EWS can deliver lower levels of qualifications to cover a variety of occupations in waste, recycling and cleaning. In commercial and government sectors.
CIWM (WAMITAB) Cleaning Qualifications – Level 1 and 2
- Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services– aimed at Commercial and Industrial Cleaning staff with some decision-making functions in roles such as Street Cleaning Operative, Litter Pickers, and Window Cleaning.
This award is also an accepted qualification by CITB for those who are required to hold a CSCS blue card – Skilled Worker.
- Level 2 Award in Cleaning Principles – aimed at domestic cleaning roles for commercial and personal properties
- Level 1 Award in Practical Cleaning Skills – aimed at those working or who wish to work in domestic and cleaning environments. Awards in the following principles:
CIWM (WAMITAB) Waste & Recycling Qualifications – Level 1
These qualifications are ideal for the unemployed, inexperienced staff and those in rehabilitation facilities or for those wishing to gain basic skills and knowledge to gain employment.
- Award in Waste and Recycling– aimed at Drivers in any collection capacity and Street Cleaning Operatives
- Award in Reuse and Refurbishment– aimed at those wishing to improve their sustainability knowledge
CIWM (WAMITAB) Waste Management Qualifications – Level 2
This level is ideal for staff who work within the industry, and you wish for them to be recognised for the skills and knowledge they have gained. Some of these qualifications can also attract funding for Apprentices programs or be funded through the Adult Education Budget.
- Certificate for Sustainable Waste Management Operative– aimed at Recycling and Transfer Station Operatives with some decision-making functions.
- Diploma for Sustainable Waste Management Operative (Waste Site Operative)– aimed at Waste Site Operatives.
- Certificate for Sustainable Waste Management Operative (Waste Collection Driver)– aimed at Waste Collection Drivers (Local Authority and Private Drivers)
- Certificate for Sustainable Waste Management Operative (Team Leader)– aimed at Waste Management Team Leaders.
- Certificate in Principles of Sustainable Resource Management– a knowledge course for new entrants into the waste and recycling sector and forms part of the waste apprenticeship.
- Diploma for Sustainable Recycling Activities– aimed at those wishing to work in the recycling sector covering reception, segregation, and processing of WEEE.
- Certificate for Waste and Resource Management Operative– aimed at Resource Management Operatives.
CIWM (WAMITAB) Waste Management Qualifications – Level 3
This level is ideal for staff who work within the industry and are employed as team leaders or supervisors.
- Certificate in Principles of Sustainable Resource Management
- Diploma for Waste Supervisor
- Diploma for Sustainable Recycling Activities (Supervisory)
